Great Barrier Reef Charters
One of the seven wonders of the natural world, the iconic Great Barrier Reef is blessed with the breathtaking beauty of being the world's largest coral reef.
Bedarra offers convenient access to the outer reef, with charters available for either snorkelling or SCUBA diving experiences departing directly from the island.
Guests have the option of reserving a private charter with a dedicated guide for a half or full-day personalised reef experience, or joining a group charter for a full-day reef trip.
Snorkelling provides a spectacular way to see the reef however a variety of SCUBA diving alternatives are also available - from introductory dives for guests who have not SCUBA dived before through to advanced deep water and wreck diving for more experienced and qualified divers.
Guests also have the option of a enjoying a scenic helicopter flight to experience the vivid colours of the reef from above.
Snorkelling
Snorkelling offers a spectacular way to view the diversity of the Great Barrier Reef.
Snorkelling tours visit a number of different reef locations on each trip, offering a large variety of coral types, reef formations and colourful marine life to view.
No experience is required and all snorkelling equipment is provided as part of the tour,
SCUBA Diving
Diving the Great Barrier Reef is a truly breathtaking experience. A variety of dive sites are available to suit different experience levels and challenges. From shallow water dives offering spectacular coloured coral, perfect for introductory PADI Diving and Open Water Certification, to deeper more challenging dive sites for more advanced dive levels. Each dive tour is personalised based on the experience of each diver and a large variety of dive sites are available to suit varying experience levels and weather conditions.
Private Charters
Private charters are available for guests departing directly from Bedarra.
MV 'Phase One' is an 8.5 metre Alutech Scorpion Boat designed for comfort, safety and performance. The vessel is powered by 250HP outboard and provides for a fast and comfortable trip to the reef.
Both half day and full day private charters are available visiting multiple spectacular sites on the reef for both snorkelling and SCUBA trips, including having lunch on a secluded coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef.
Scenic Helicopter Flights
Viewing the reef from above is a spectacular experience to be remembered forever. Our private helicopter charter flights depart directly from Bedarra and showcase multiple coral reefs and sand cays from the air before returning home over the tropical islands that make up the Family Islands Group.
